Railway Group D Exam Pattern 2025
The Railway Group D exam is conducted in multiple stages to assess the eligibility of candidates for various posts in the Indian Railways. The first stage is a Computer-Based Test (CBT), which consists of 100 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The exam covers four sections: Mathematics (25 questions), General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 questions), General Science (25 questions), and General Awareness and Current Affairs (20 questions). For every incorrect answer, there is a negative marking of 1/3 marks.
Candidates who qualify the CBT are shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). In this stage, candidates must complete specific physical tasks such as running, lifting weights, or carrying objects within a given timeframe. The final stage includes document verification and a medical examination to ensure the fitness of the candidates.
